Fall '25 Kids Club Details

Kids ages 3 years old through 5th grade are invited to join us on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00pm starting September 10th through November 12th.

What’s Kids Club?

Our theme this session is: "We are God's Masterpiece." Kids will learn about the life and ministry of Paul through the Gospel Project.  We will have fun playing games, engaging in Bible activities, eating snacks, and making new friends.

Mission Project

This session we are collecting items and cash donations to fill 50 Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes. Kids are encouraged to bring school supplies, personal care items, and "Wow" items each week of Kids Club. More details about suggested donations will be posted on our First Baptist Family Ministry: Aledo, IL Facebook page and on a take-home flyer given on the first night of Kids Club. On Wednesday, November 12th we will celebrate our collections with a big Packing Party where the kids will actually get to pack all the shoeboxes!

Bible Memory Challenges

Kids will have Bible Memory Verses that go along with this session's lessons. They will practice at church but are encouraged to practice at home.  For each verse they recite, they will get a prize. Kids can recite them during their Bible Memory stations anytime during the session to get their prize on the spot.

Fun Nights this Session

October 8th "Favorite Color Night": Kids, come dressed in your favorite color from head to toe! We’re celebrating the amazing way God made each of us unique and special. This helps us learn how our differences make the world more beautiful!

November 12th "OCC Packing Party": Kids, wear red or green and join us as we celebrate all the amazing items we’ve collected for our Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes! We’ll pack boxes, have fun, and take a big group picture to include in every shoebox we send—sharing joy and Jesus with kids around the world!

Kids Club/Nursery Check-in

Check-in is from 6:15-6:30pm through the FRONT lobby doors.  No early arrivals, please.   Please go up the ramp (to the left of the front door) to enter the line in order.   Pre-register in advance to make this process faster.

Security Tag: All kids must have an adult present at check-in so they can collect the security tag needed for pick-up.  No door drop-offs.

NEW>>Where do kids go once they get checked-in?  Pre-K Crews (Crews 1-3) will go to the basement and find their crews. K-5th Grade Crews (Crews 4-9) will go to the sanctuary and find their crews. Crew numbers are located on their name tags.

Nursery: Adults taking classes or volunteering can skip the line and check-in their little ones (2 years old and younger) along with their Kids Clubbers,  in the nursery so you can get a pager.

Pick-up is at 8:00pm:

All Kids Club participants will be picked up in the sanctuary. Our Pre-K Crews will be sitting in the back of the sanctuary.

We ask that adults picking up Kids Clubbers enter the line outside the sanctuary door with their security tag. You will need your security tag to enter the sanctuary. If you forget your tag, you will be asked to step out of line and wait for a volunteer to verify who you are and escort you to your child. The doors will not open until all crews are in the sanctuary at 8:00.  Please pick-up kiddos no later than 8:10.

Once in the sanctuary, you will pick up your kids from the right side of the chair row and volunteers will verify that your security tag matches your child's tag before you exit the sanctuary.

Thanks for sharing your kiddos with us!  If you have a question or need help registering, please contact  Denise Bowker (Interim Children's Ministry Coordinator) at 309-270-1883.

Pictures @ FBC:

Behavior & Incident Reports:

Participants must abide by our Kids Min rules (Sit Up, Look Up, Zip Up, Be Kind & Respectful, Be Helpful). If a child is disruptive or defiant, a parent will be notified and a plan will be communicated to improve behavior. If behavior does not improve, the child may not be able to participate. We will make every effort for this not to happen but we will need the help and cooperation of the parent and child. If an incident occurs, the Children's Ministry Coordinator will collect information, write a report, and communicate with the parent. All staff are mandatory reporters.
---------------------------------------------

Potty-Training Kiddos:

Your littles do NOT need to be potty-trained to attend. However, parents need to prepare a “just-in-case” bag with an extra set of clothes, pull-ups, etc., and communicate their child’s potty needs to the crew leaders. These bags should be labeled with the child’s name & given to the crew leaders.
---------------------------------------------

Child-Protection Policy:

All volunteers are screened, trained, and must abide by FBC’s Child Protection Policy. All adults are background-checked, interviewed by staff, and go through a preventative training. Feel free to grab a copy of our Child Protection Policy behind Kids Check-in (on the wall). *Parent Helpers are utilized at times but have restrictions.
